Azear

Excerpt of the saviors legends

"We are the Azear. Do you know what that means?" Seselis asked the boy as he walked down one of the corridors of the great hall.   Of course as could be predicted the boy had shaken his head. He did not know of such things. How could he? He had grown his entire life outside of the sandstone walls of Azoeth. He was of the Veral of the tunnels, of the Undvol where the plants ate the insects and his brethern.   "We are the ones who try to bring to the world what the world has shunned from us. We wish to transform the world."   The tall man stopped, his flowing white cloak felt large to the boy as he eyed the man with grey eyes.   "Why do you wish to do that?"   It was an innocent enough question for a boy.   "Because the world can be cruel child. We only wish that it were less so."   The boy continued to follow the man down the path, now being lost in thought. To transform the world? He thought of the Goddess of Symbols. Her bright statuesque self painted upon the Undvol walls in the town in which he grew. He could see her likeness in this man. A man of bright color, of sheer white, of flowing grace. The man walked with such movements that the boy could see even the Gods being jealous of his gait.   "Do you not have another question?" the man asked.   "Why is it that you want to transform the world?" The boy asked. It was the same question before only worded differently but the boy hadn't noticed.   Seselis hid a smile as he raised his hand to open a door for the boy.   "To bring about peace, through means which we can be proud of."   "Then why train to fight?" The boy asked earnestly.   "To prevent my family from being killed. You see peace is not always welcomed in the eyes of all. There are some who would resist it." Seselis explained.   The boy walked to the table in the middle of the room as he had done many times before. Bread and salted meat, and goat cheese lie upon the plate. The man nodded in response to the boys questioning look. A soft rumbling floating from his chest, as he pleasured himself in the tastes of the basic meal. Excitedly he watch the tall man who watched him eat. Both were curious about the other. Both wished to know more. Both however knew that no more would be said this day about the Azear. It would be time for bed.   Thanking the man once again for the Azear, and the saving of his life the boy went to the cot that lay in the corner of the room.

Structure

First comes the Grand Admiral. He is the leader, the teacher, the one who oversees all training and learning of the values of what the Azear hold dear.   Next come the Masters of 5. They are to help the Admiral, grant advice and inform them of the ongoings of the world outside.   Then there are the Verterans. These are those who have ventured into the world, who know how the world works and understands the intracacies of their jobs.   The Familes come next. Those who are in training, those who see the courtyard and stay within the walls of Azoeth lest their immaturities spell doom for the Azear. These are the one who are being molded into the all encompassing passion that makes that Azear.   At last we come to the Initiates. Those who wish to join the Azear. That wish nothing but to understand the Azear. Those who want to make it to the top of the top and become the heroes they've only heard about in stories and legends.
