Junnosuke Kani
Junnosuke Kani is the current Daimyo of The Crab Clan of Port Minato. With his wife Kiyo, he has two children: his son Shunso and his daughter Natsuko. While normally he would be peforming his duties of keeping the port town thriving and trade flowing, his home and holdings are currently under the control of the Laozi Army, who are none too keen to give up the last bastion they have in the kingdom of Hokkai. His family are currently under house arrest, and are effectively puppet rulers for Captain Xian Wu and Governor Ren Hui. He continues to perform these duties for the occupying force because his daughter (and daughter-in-law) are being held hostage by the Laozi forces to ensure his capitulation. He also is rather fond of the trappings of his material wealth, and he has been permitted to keep many of these daily comforts as long as he enforces the will of the Laozi. Many of his samurai were killed in the initial invasion, and those who remain have been imprisioned, with the exception of a handful of ronin who abandoned their lord, their settlement, and their duties.
