Descent Into Darkness
This room is a corridor that slopes heavily downward and is absolutely riddled with traps. The floor is made of steel tiles riveted to a leather backing. The tiles are connected to pneumatic pressure pipes and a nasty alchemical mixture that flows into the room is pumped through them. Stepping on the tiles will set off traps, and depressing the tiles will reset them. The traps rely on the very first trap to function - a waterfall of an alchemical mixture of oil, tar and a mineral paste that smells like rotten eggs. The waterfall keeps the sludge in motion, aerating it and forcing it into the pressure pipe feeds. The sludge moves through the pipes and is vacuumed upward to the ceiling under pressure to flow back to the beginning of the room to the waterfall.
