Camner Brandino is the current ruler of Aeronia, having ruled since 1298 after he executed Queen Maria Larnlin for heresy. Before his ascension to the throne, Camner Brandino was both the Scribe of the Church of Hexeity and the Commander in Chief of the Army
He is viewed very negatively outside of Aeronia, with many criticising his reign. He has ruled Aeronia with an iron fist and many in Aeronia itself view him as the embodiment of evil - but the resistance movement is no more.

Camner is known for his fashion, he frequently wears elaborate, militaristic clothing that symbolises both his royalty and his lust for violence. He often wears a long trench coat adorned with various medals he has awarded himself.

Early Life

Camner Brandino was born in 1258, the second child of Olson and Maria Brandino. His parents were known as a power couple, with Maria being Chief Commander of the Army and Olson being the Scribe of the Church of Hexeity - their union represented an ever growing relationship between the State and the Church.
Camner was educated at the Royal College of Aeronia. He learnt the standard education of the Sciences, Language and Religion. During this, he was also educated in military strategy and tactics by his mother. Camner went on to complete a course in Military stratagem and the religion of Hexeity.
After leaving school at 16, Camner enrolled in the army and, due to his mother's position, was immediately promoted to Commander. At the time of his enrolment, a war had begun against Dakarn as they tried to invade Aeronia. Although many were concerned about his lack of experience, he successfully led his team in numerous battles and made a name for himself as a superb commander - quietening all of his critics. Further trying to establish himself, Camner has a small scar above his lip from a famed duel with one of the senior commanders in the army to prove his worth, and won.

Commander in Chief

When Camner was 18 years old, his mother Maria Brandino died heroically in battle. As a decorated commander and son of the previous commander in chief, Camner Brandino was promoted to Commander in Chief by King Alernex Larnlin.
In his role as Commander in Chief, Camner's knowledge of military tactics was evident. He devised an ingenious military campaign to finally end the war. The campaign begun and within two years the Aeronian military had advanced to the capital of Dakarn - Camner Brandino personally executed their leader. However, King Alernex decided not to absorb Dakarn into Aeronia - he was a known peacemaker and so let the country be, much to the anger of Camner.

Scribe

At 34, Olson Brandino died from ill health. In the Church of Hexeity, tradition dictates that the eldest child of the Scribe assumes leadership. Camner's older sister, Phillipa , was ready to accept the position of Scribe and lead the Church. Only a few days later his sister was suddenly found dead in the Brandino home, doctors confirmed the cause of death to be poison.
Camner Brandino assumed the position of Scribe of the Church of Hexeity whilst maintaining his position as Commander in Chief; he was ready to wield his newfound power.

King

In 1298, the Church made a bold move on the monarchy. Camner declared the current Queen, Maria Larnlin, as a heretic and denied her the Pantheon's blessing to rule.
This immediately made a large proportion of the populace, all followers of Hexeity, lose faith in the monarchy. With the full support of both the Church and the Army, Camner Brandino marched into the palace. Ready to put up a fight, the Queen fought but lost - beheaded by Camner. There was little resistance from the population, and any rebellion was quickly extinguished.

Reign of Terror

Camner began remodelling the country to his design. Everyone was forced to join the Church of Hexeity, with the Church stating that it only forced people to join because they didn't comprehend that they would go to eternal damnation if they didn't. Anyone who continually resisted against joining was sent away, never to be seen again. A Resistance movement sprang up at once point. This briefly sparked a civil war, which was quickly destroyed by Camner's forces.
Camner Brandino now rules over Aeronia, making plans to expand the kingdom into their neighbour - Dakarn.
