Dawn's Light

Since time immemorial the Church of Dawn's Light has existed, the faith has always been an intrinsic part of the lives of the Ri'tengan elves.

History

The Arrival

According to the old legends, the six elves that arrived in Ri'teng were led there by Dawn's light.

We had been sailing for days, lost without a home. We awoke one morning to find the light of dawn far brighter than it had been before - we set sail at once.

After months of sailing in the direction of the dawn, the six elves arrived in what would one day become the Elven Archipelago - and the island that would become Ri'teng. Once they had found their home, they immediately gave praise to the light of dawn - venerating it from that day onwards.

The Song

According to the chronicles, Dawn's Light then sang a song - loud enough to be heard all over the valley. Through the lyrics of the song, Dawn dictated how all should live their lives, telling them that they owed her for this land and must live by her rules.
