Senterren Empire

Three things are required for total dominance: blood, power and coin

The Senterren Empire is the greatest political, cultural, economic, and militaristic force on the planet. Born of a Kingdom in southern Solvaren, they have brutally expanded to conquer all the Kingdoms of the continent, which were made into provinces of the Empire and ruled by Governors appointed by the Emperor.

Structure

The Emperor is at the ultimate authority of the Senterren Empire. He is advised by the Council, made up of ten members from the noble houses of Senterra, who assist the Emperor on matters of policy and major decisions - though the Emperor is free to do as he wishes regardless of the councils decisions. Finally, the Emperor delegates the mundane parts of his duties to the Supreme Ministers - they are directly responsible for their duties in Senterra and also oversee all other minsters who oversee the other provinces.

Council

The Emperor is advised by the Council of Supreme Ministers, made up of members from the noble houses of Senterra. They assist the Emperor on matters of policy and major decisions - though the Emperor is free to do as he wishes regardless of the councils decisions. They also carry out the more mundane parts of the Emperor's job and oversee all other ministers in other provinces. Every province of the Empire is ruled over by a Governor, this is either a Senterren Noble who has been appointed by the Emperor himself or, if the province surrendered to the Empire, the previous ruler of the Kingdom who has sworn fealty to the Emperor. All Governors are on part with over governors (though the Governors of more important areas are generally more influential) , and below the Supreme Ministers. The Governor has a lot of autonomy over exactly how the region operates, though things such as taxation and the military are directly controlled from Senterra. A Governor will appoint his own ministers to assist him in the operation of the province. The Ministers will then be in charge of a team to assist them with their duties. For example, if the Emperor wanted taxes raised in the south of Alba, then he would inform the supreme minister of finance. The supreme minister will then contact the Governor of Alba who would inform his minister of finance that the taxes in the south must be raised. The minister would then inform the member of his team responsible for the south that the taxes must be risen, who will then send a message to the tax collectors.

Military

The Emperor is the supreme commander of the Senterren military. He will discuss matters of war with the High Legates, who are responsible for around ten legions and on an equal level with the Governors. The Legions are commanded by a Legate, who is under the command of the High Legates and the Governor of the province his legion is stationed in. There are then several further ranks within the legion, such as Miliaturions, Centurions and Decturion

History

Kingdom of Senterra

The Kingdom of Senterra was born of a unification between the several small kingdoms in the plains of southern Solvaren. The Kingdoms usually operated in harmony, trading with each other and cooperating occasionally, there were brief civil wars over various disputes occasionally but otherwise there was peace.
