Cradle

Cradle is the globular cluster which contains all known life in the universe. Although its name differs across cultures, each generally follows the same trend of naming it after a concept around the growth or development of a child. Cradle is roughly spherical, with a radius measuring around 30 light years. The cluster floats in intergalactic space, over two million light years from the closest galaxy, effectively blocking interstitial travel due to the vast calculation power needed to calculate a route for current FIT Drives in a resonable amount of time.   Estimates place the number of stars in Cradle at roughly 200, and at least that number of planets. These stars generally orbit around the cluster's dense core, which contains Aegial, the black hole the majority of stars in Cradle orbit.
