Darkmantle

Darkmantles are bizarre and predatory creatures that dwell in the subterranean depths of the world. Resembling a grotesque blend of a bat and a squid, they have a membranous, wing-like structure that they use to glide through underground caverns. Darkmantles are small, usually about 3 to 4 feet in length, with dark, mottled, leathery skin and a single large, lamprey-like mouth filled with sharp teeth. They have a feature that sets them apart - a large, fleshy mantle that extends from their body, resembling a dark, hooded cloak.
