Demographics
The city is a melting pot of races and cultures, and this bleeds over into the rest of the city state. Orcs, Goblin, Drow, and humans are amongst the most prominent races of the city, Whilst traders from Norsca and Albion are common within the port.
Government
Following the occupation of the Drow house Knell Sheddan. The city is currently governed in the name of Teutonia by the Hanoverian Trade Council.
Defences
The city is walled, with a rebuilt sea wall protecting its docks. There are two major strategic defences in Hannover, besides Hannover castle, currently under the stewardship of Major Beo'dor of the Reiksguard. These are the northern fort of Coalhouse Point, the currently training ground of the Reiksguard, and the abandoned island fortress, Fort Fang - a Sythian fortress whos garrison vanished without trace many years ago, and no visitor who stays the night has ever been seen again.
History
The Kingdom of Hannover was once a powerful Kingdom ruled over by the Kings of Hannover prior to the formation of Teutonia. This dynasty likely came to an end when the Kingdom fell to the growing Teutonian nation.
Prior to 1109 the Drow House Knell Sheddan occupied the city until they were routed by King Frederic Von Hapsburg. The city has been governed by the Hanoverian Trade Council ever since.
Hannover fell to the Pythons during their return in 1112, with Hannover under their wing they were able to utlise its ships in taking the island of Gibraltar. The city eventually fell back into the Trade Councils control following the defeat of the Pythons in 1114.
