Madgeburg
Madgeburg is one of the oldest cities in Teutonia sat not far from the Rhine River and its array of river based trade. Madgeburg's history is said to stretch back as far as 3000 years with the coming of the Teuton people who first settled the city. Since then it has grown and evolved and not much of its original foundations remain. Madgeburg became the stronghold of the Drachemorden family who would eventually marry into the royal Hapsburg family.
Defences
Uniquely the cities Militia is not united under a single city banner, but is rather divided into the four districts that make up the city proper. However they do have an armoury in the city which is guarded at all times with members of each militia quarter providing men for all watches - thus no one part of the militia can ever control the facility.
The Castle of Madgeburg is a small, well deisnged, but old, with some scholars believing it might date back over 3000 years. It is thought there may be access to the Teutonian Underdark from within the castle, but this has not been verified.

The university of Madgeburg is a small university which under one of the previous Markgraf's began to specialise in the study of un-life, however the findings at this time are not well known.

Madgeburg became the stronghold of the Drachemorden family who often sided with the Cobras in the various snake wars. Following the Fourth Schlangenkrieg the Drachemorden family would eventually marry into the royal Hapsburg family, with the union of Tabatha Drachomorden and King Frederic 3rd Von Hapsburg. However tragedy struck the Drachemorden following the death of King Hapsburg, Queen Tabatha was kidnapped and her the rest of her family were murdered. Following Tabatha's rescue from the outlaw known as the Silver Arrow, she would be taken into the protective custody of Archbishop Hagen Hagenson in Munich, leaving behind a steward to oversee the governing of Madgeburg.
