History
Murmansk is one of the oldest cities in Teutonia, with scholar debating over whether or not it is indeed the oldest in all of Teutonia as no exact date for its founding can be given.
Though-out Teutonia's history Murmansk has always had a dealing in the important events at some point or another. In 411 Riga and Murmansk openly rebelled against King Reinhart 2nd, this quickly became the First Schlangenkrieg.
During the Third Schlangenkrieg, Murmansk stood as one of the last Cobra strongholds. It was eventually sieged by the Viper General Demetrius, but this siege would see his demise as he was slain outside Murmansk's walls. As the Third Schlangenkrieg ended its neighbouring state, Riga, removes itself from Teutonia. Dispite this and their close bond, Murmansk would remain in Teutonia as the nation was reunited under King Hinrick.
Murmansk would become a strong political player under King Hapsburg during the Fourth Schlangenkreig, when the King appointed rule of the city to Lord Victor Von Murmansk. Lord Victor has continued to rule Murmansk for the last ten years and whilst he doesn't serve in the warhost anymore he still serve Teutonia as a whole by housing the Der Auftrag, also known as the Order of Murmansk, within his city. With this key institution Murmansk is on its way to become one of the many centres of magical expertise within Teutonia.
