The Vistanii

A Tribe of the Visigoths the Vistanii, which means "The people from Vistana", are a tribe of post Iron-Age (Germanic) barbarians descended from a people known as the Visigoths, who were one of many powerful tribes that dominated early Teutonia.

They originate from the Black Forest and other unexplored wildernesses of North-eastern Teutonia; a hard, snow-bound landscape that has forged the Vistanii into a skilled hunter/gatherer culture capable of survival in even the harshest of conditions.

Whilst the Visigoths were once a mighty kingdom, they are now broken down into many small tribes, each led by a Chieftain, since the death of their last king over forty years ago. The Vistanii, our unit, is but one of these tribes, once led by Brun Ironspear, hailing from a settlement that was then called Vistana.
The Vistanii are spiritual, mystical and a little superstitious but also practical, self-reliant, and proud. In saying this, however, they are not lacking in humour, song, and hospitality.

They worship ancient deity’s called, Wodin, Tyr and most recently Lorelei. Common symbols found amongst the Vistanii include Trees, Ravens/Crows, Boars, Wild Forest Beasts, or beast-headed humanoids.
