Ortono Goat

They're a bit of a unicorn for the Weinadi, especially the Dheizei. Something incredibly useful, shows up a lot in old mythology, and there's a lot of debate as to whether they ever even existed. Yesterday we made a lot of biologists look really stupid.
— Note from Corydon Wildauer to a contact in Tholaren Dome

The ortono bear similarities to the angora goat. They produce good milk, their fur is exceptional, and they climb very well. The primary physical difference would be that they breathe the usual high carbon dioxide air content easily, and instead of horns on their heads they have a kind of bony faceplate that covers their heads and protects them from the elements.
Their thick fur was prized for cloth, as they shed easily and so yarn and cloth could be plentiful. The faceplate was also useful as it protected from the elements, and in mythology was thought to have many magical properties that bestowed certain gifts of agility and intelligence from the ortono onto the wearer of the mask.
Apparently, though, it is their milk that makes them valuable. It's delicious, slightly green, and makes really good cheese. They were used as companions by the Dheizei for centuries until they were thought to have died out.
Now, it seems as though a hidden pocket of them has emerged into the world once again. The ones that have been found are as docile as legend would indicate (which is to say domesticated but not exactly happy to be so), and the tribes are taking measures to protect them and foster them and ensure that someday massive herds of ortonos will once again be a common sight.
