This is approximately the time where the Basadu and the Dheizei split into two distinct ethnicities.
The Asazi had faltered as a society after The Upheaval. In the wake of the massive earthquake, a growing difference of opinion grew between various weinadi. Some groups believed that they should continue as they had, traveling the surface to avoid those dangers. Others thought that they should take advantage of the newly-formed cracks in the surface and rebuild below, taking advantage of the chasms being out of reach of the garruw. The shift was ultimately not a violent one, simply a cultural shift that has marked Wulei Ranifa and its society ever since.
