Eskarith the Fallen (ESS-kuh-rith)

Eskarith was once the god of ascension. Unlike the other gods of the upper Tharael pantheon, he did not represent or rule over a specific aspect of the material plane. He was instead given the power to create gods and ascend mortals to become gods, and once this was done, no other deity had the ability to do so.
For millennia, Eskarith was the conduit through which other gods would grant divinity. The lesser gods of the upper pantheon were created this way. However, Eskarith grew arrogant and reckless. After a long string of ascensions that were disastrous and unearned, Thann cast Eskarith down into the newly-created lower pantheon and banished him to a prison plane along with the worst offenders among those he undeservedly gave divinity. He resided there for millennia, until he was slain by The Prime Ordeal.

The Demon Lords

One of Eskarith's worst offenses during his time as the God of Ascension was to create a minor "pantheon" of dark forces known colloquially as the demon lords. These are listed below.
