The Merchant Republics of Southern Croi
The Merchant Republics of Southern Croi (or "MRSC" for short) are a group of traders that established settlements on the archipelago south of mainland Croi.
They govern their own internal affairs, but pay a percentage of their tax income to The Croi Empire in exchange for the empire's vast military protection. As a result, their status as an independent state is a matter of international debate, with The Croi Empire seeing them firmly as subjects, and other nations seeing them as strong allies of the empire.
