Barataria Corsairs

Founded during The Nightmare War, the Barataria Corsairs are a coalition of smaller pirate bands that work together to maximize profit and power. They formed initially to push back an attack from the Nightmare forces on Barataria, an island west of Easlath that has long serves as a base for pirates, cutthroats, and thieves. The Corsairs turned all of their attention onto the Nighmare forces, even helping the navies of the other nations on occasion. They were instrumental in helping the Champions to defeat the Leviathan which opened the water ways for the Allied forces to invade Easlath.
In modern times the Corsairs have returned to their piratical ways, but are often given some leaway as they focus on Ghaash ships over others. They also avoid ships flying the Tulcara colors. Though neither side has said, many believe the Corsairs and the Tulcara have an "agreement."
Each pirate ship will have it's own flag, but they also fly the colors of the Corsairs, which shows a skull and crossbones as part of a compass and a skeletal hand pointing to the compass. Their motto, translated to common, reads: "Chart your own course."
The current commodore is a rather resourceful murloc named Norigal Hooktooth. Despite his size, Hooktooth has a ruthless reputation when it comes to plundering nightmare ships.
