Mornaugrim

Dark Dwarves

After the Blighting of Yllnor, the Nightmare Elves began to attack any who opposed the will of the Nightmare Gods. This included the Hill Dwarves of Eþelstol in the mountains now called the Nilis Ansodrim. The Goredhel found this to be a challenge as the dwarves retreated into their halls. This is until Unoz’Thar was freed. The Dark One began to work on the dwarves of Eþelstol who remained hidden in their caves until some chose to follow the Nightmare god. These dwarves soon betrayed the remaining hill dwarves, becoming the Mornaugrim or the Dark Dwarves.   The Mornaugrim tend to remain undergound, searching out any who want to use the tunnel network under Yarundor. They are brutal in combat, but less prone to the extremes of violence of the Nightmare Elves. It is rare for a Dark Dwarf to turn from Unoz’Thar, but sometimes it happens.   Dark Dwarves look much like hill dwarves, save they have pale white skin and coal black hair. Most notably, dark dwarves eyes look like pools of ink with no iris or sclera.
