A Cube of Storage

A 2 inch square silvery cube with a single button on one side. The cube is heavier than it should be and always cool to the touch.
Pressing the button one time begins the recording of all things everywhere in the known universe, the recording takes 1 minute and if the button is pressed again after the recording starts but before it is complete, the recording stops and all of the collected data is erased.
If the button is pressed twice quickly, the user is presented a menu in a virtual hologram that only the person holding the cube can see, that person can then choose one of the saved moments to view. When viewing the moment the user can twist the cube in space to slow down, speed up or move from point to point within the saved moment. Travel to unknown places in that time is dificult and draws heavily on the life-force of the user, the futher the destination from where the cube was when the recording was made, the more life-force of the user is consumed.
Holding the button down for 10 seconds will remove all saved moments from the cube storage.
