Spooktober Collection for Ken Bignell
Just a place to collect my Spooktober articles. I am going for dark, creepy, maybe a bit haunting for these prompts. It's about writing outside my comfort zone I guess. Always good practice to exercise brain parts you don't normally, right?
Anyway, I hope someone gets as much joy from these short vinettes as I get from writing them.
1. A crow speaks about its job and how it feels about it. On Crow's Black Wing Flies Death
2. Hunger drives a monster in the night to devour the helpless. Hunger
3. An apparition views the world from her perspective. WARNING, Allusions to suicide/self-harm. Visible
4. Something drowns while being watched. Drown
5. Something with claws comes home during an unusual storm. WARNING, contains descriptions of images that may not be appropriate for all audiences. Violence to children and harm to humans. The Claw
6. The Moon causes... changes. Moon Related to epitaph.
7. An epitaph is forever placed upon a grave stone. Epitaph Related to moon.
8. Stalkie or stalker is the question. Prey and Predator
9. Reading to a child is great, reading to the incorporeal ghost of one...? Without Form
10. The thunder of warfare is recounted. I See You
11. Watching the clock becomes an obsession. I Watch the Clock
12. Staring into the void brings conflict with one's self. The Void
13. Fate is a dangerous game, you could get what you want... Fate
14. Summoning is a dangerous game of... adding things up?? Summoning..
Hope those who read what I submitted enjoy. I had to reach outside my comfort zone for some of these, but I think it was worth it. Not much fancy formatting, but I feel good about the content.
