Common Congruence Spells and Effects

Attack Spells

Blast - A blast of congruence emanates from the caster. On impact the target is dealt a physical blow.

Burn - Can be cast on material that is normally flammable. The target bursts into flames. These flames behave as you would expect fire to normally act.

Pierce - A finer, more precise form of blast. The caster emits a ray of congruence that can pierce the target like a knife.

Entangle - Tendrils of congruence attempt to entwine the limbs of the target. If successful, this inhibits the target's movement until freed from the tendrils.

Defense & Healing Spells

Shield - Creates a barrier of congruence around the caster or a target. This barrier can block most physical projectiles or minor congruence spells.

Drench - The target is covered by a liquid form of congruence. This can douse flames.

Heal - Minor wounds on the target are healed with congruence.

Buffs and Boons

Hasten - The target's movement is temporarily enhanced by congruence-increased speed.

Bolster - The target’s strength is temporarily enhanced by congruence increasing physical attacks.

Shadow - The caster uses congruence to cause some light to miss the target of the spell. This makes it easier for the target to blend in with shadows, increasing stealth. Can also be used to make an object or small area more difficult to see.

Cultivate - The caster can imbue a plant with congruence to increase growth. This can be used to create a barrier in combat, or with some plants can be used to grow a small amount of food.

‘Everyday’ Spells

Farsight - The caster uses congruence to extend the range of their vision.

Nightsight - The caster uses congruence to improve their vision in darkness.

Telekinesis - Congruence users can move objects a short distance without physical contact.

Basic illusion - The congruence user creates a simple illusion. These are very basic in nature; more complex illusions require specialized training and abilities. Some examples of these would be making an object appear to be a different color, or making something appear to be closer or further away than it actually is.
