Bog sprites and will o the wisps, haunting ghosts and curious spirits, Giddy Flames are storybook monsters made entirely of congruence. Each entity is a unique one, and they manifest in many locations and under many forms, though always randomly. Giddy Flames appear like coalesced prowess, clad in vibrant colors and constantly shifting forms that are mostly translucent. Their smells vary based on their color and emotion, but as a whole, their entire form shifts in reaction and action.

Giddy Flames are accidental entities, spawned from powerful emotion, congruence coalescence, and strong intent. Though any one of these things may spawn a small flame for a very short period of time, the actual living beings of Giddy Flames are echoes of the past, and sometimes tellers of the future.

Each Flame has power over a certain domain that spawns it, relating to the events, mental state, emotions, and intentions of its inception. A Giddy Flame that lives in a bog may have been created from a large battle that happened in the marsh centuries ago, or a Flame at the peak of a mountain may be waiting for the inception of an epoch shifting event. Each one responds to life in curiosity and a chaotic nature. They remain unpredictable though frequently are harmless to those around them.

Types of Giddy Flames
The few types of Giddy Flames that people have engaged over the years are:
  • Inert: A “dead” Giddy Flame that has retreated to its core. Can be reactivated but is for all intents considered dead.
  • Passive: A Giddy Flame that exists seemingly in its own reality. Actions often appear random, and it might not even make an effort to preserve itself from danger. These are some of the more dangerous Flames for their unpredictability, though they are not as dangerous as the final type.
  • Curious: A Giddy Flame that exists like a child, the nature of its existence has yet to manifest in its ego, or its inception began without either strong intent or emotional backing.
  • Echo: Giddy Flames that exist with a strong tie to either intent or emotion, but not congruence. They appear almost like a dream, creations that maintain existence in a loop of inception that provides ego but not the power to act.
  • Active: A Giddy Flame that is able to exist and meaningfully manifest change in itself and the world around it. These monsters are more akin to mythologically ample caricatures of people, in ideals, ideology, and all else. These are the only form of Giddy Flame that are able to leave their birthplace, though many dislike and shy away from the activity. They are also the most dangerous, as their overly-grandiose existence can be more harmful than not, especially as a being of pure congruence.

All Giddy Flames have the POTENTIAL to speak, communicate, or read minds and emotions, though not all do or can.

All Giddy Flames have acute control over a given domain related to their existence in congruence power. The more energy it uses for congruence the weaker it becomes, though they recharge at a fairly normal rate comparable to a human.

Giddy Flame Cores

To destroy a Giddy Flame requires congruence, opposing intent, and/or the destruction of its core through exhaustion of its abilities until able to damage the core.

The shape of their core is the shape they choose to represent themselves, but only becomes visible once the Giddy Flame dies, as its form rushes in on itself. It is sometimes possible to reactivate a Giddy Flame through congruence.
