Overview of the 4th Epoch v1.0
The timeline of the 4th Epoch is broken into 3 separate ages. The Age of Resurrection, The Age of Iron, and The Age of Foundlings. The Age of Resurrection is the time period of the sentient races recovering from whatever ended the 3rd Epoch (i.e. starting at tribal level) and ending with the formation of the first great nation. The Age of Iron starts with the formation of the {empire of Iron} and ends with the Empire’s fall. The Age of Foundlings is the age we are currently in, this age is marked by the formation of many smaller nations that take over control of the continent after the fall of the {empire of Iron}.
In this timeline the ages will be abbreviated AR (Age of Resurrection), AI (Age of Iron), and AF (Age of Foundlings).
The individual kingdoms and nations would also have their own calendar that they use internally. This would generally have the Nations founding set as year 0.
