Maiden of Fresh Waters
The Maiden of Fresh Waters, also known as the Maiden of Refreshment is a small fountain in the Southern Quarter of Morhan. The fountain features a shapely, curvy woman carved from marble holding a large shining bronze decanter. The young attractive human woman has a coy smile on her face and wears a flowing rippling dress. Cold, potable water flows endlessly from the decanter into a small bassin at the feet of the maiden.
Drunkards stumbling through the streets of the Southern Quarter hold on to the superstition that the best cure for a hangover is touching the decanter of the maiden and dipping your head in the streaming cold water for a second. Hungover followers of The Three, practice this custom as well in their own manner by blessing themselves with the water in the fashion of their belief.
