Writing, history and knowledge are the prime domains of Ioun and is what defines her church. Those who wish to wade into the nature of the world and gain knowledge are sure to seek her blessing.

Truth, Revelation

There are truth of the realm that make up the very fabric of reality. They may be horrible truths that could break the very essence of the mind, or mundane trivalities. All hold equal weight in the eyes of Ioun. She will reveal the truth of the world weather good or bad.

Elder Sign

There are things that are from the corners of time and the Gaps between realms. They seep into our realm, knowing only hate and malice. They must be stopped and sealed back to their horrid realm of the unknowable. It is not known how Ioun became able to help her followers seal such creatures, but her blessing is a boon to any who goes against such horrors.

Holy Books & Codes

The Codex Anathema

The Codex Anathema is a legendary tome said to have been compiled by Ioun herself. It is rumored to contain the cumulative knowledge he study and fight against the forces of the creatures of The Gaps, and is a highly sought after relic by the Grand Archive. It unfortunately seems to have been lost in time and only references to it in her other holy book.

Knowledge of the Lady

A holy book of Ioun found in the Grand Archive by Chief Balagog Maragul, the founder of the Archives. His tireles study and translation of the book is responsible for the Archive being what it is today, and the Orc’s worship of Ioun. The book is divided in to two parts, the first part fitting a stereotypical holy scripture. It contains writing and stories of Ioun and her beliefs, it also contains stories of her various confrontations with the creatures of The Gaps, and the rise of her eternal rival Vecna. The second part is composed of sermons and lectures on Ioun and her legacy. It appears to have been actively added to, only stopping with the onset of The Calamity all those years ago.

There are many who would seek harm and hardship upon Ioun. Let them not slink in the dark, illuminate them to the world and never allow them to hide from the Truth.

Let all your decisions be guided by reason, truth, and perception

Emotions and desires are wolfsbane to proper knowledge and wisdom. For they are the routes through which the creatures of The Gaps may find access. Do not allow yourself to fall for their wiles, and deceptions. Abscond their advances and render them back to the darkness from whence they came

Condemn all who lie whether enemy or ally

Those who fight against Ioun, and plot her downfall gain power from deception and trickery. The truth must be known no matter the severity or danger. To stoop to the levels of a liar is to stoop to the levels of Vecna and his followers.

During this day the followers of Ioun hold a great festival where the greatest discoveries of the archivists are proudly displayed. To be viewed as the discoverer of the greatest breakthrough is a great honor and can be used in consideration for advancement in rank. Though should another Archivist use your findings to refute your hypothesis, or worse yet find an even greater breakthrough, the archivist who was refuted or built upon would be greatly shamed and mocked.
