Session 8: The Crying Fields Pt. 2 Report

Writer’s Note: This session was mostly combat, so there wasn’t too much roleplay-wise. However, there were some good moments.

Doe stalled combat until the enemy attacked, not necessarily viewing the enemy as monsters, but instead as people.

Zero attempted to be “civil” and also stalled until the enemy attacked. Rather than violence, he tried to keep a “calm and clear mind.” (This was quickly turned into a blood-filled rage as the party was attacked.)

During combat, it is revealed that Zerros has wings.

During the fight, Quintus is grappled by a flesh monster and it is described that he is “covered in the flesh” with no visible sign of him. Quintus, muffled by the monster, tells Doe to get far away from him. Doe doesn’t quite listen to Quintus and kills the monster in a blind rage. Quintus casts the spell thunder wave and in doing so has to focus it on himself. Because of this, his clothes rip and Doe is able to see Quintus’s rotting back and a sigil they don’t recognize.
