Fonton
Fonton, or Fount Town for the folk without lazy tongues, was formed around a curious rocky formation that jutted up from the soft foothills below the Alandalan Mountain Range. Out of this formation, when someone removed one of the stones, sprang a fountain of curious waters.
What comes out of the fountain of life? What comes out of life? Not all good stuff that's for sure. Most of the folk, most, who experience life say it is nothing but pain and suffering in one form or another. Who'd build a town around that?
Obviously there must be something else that comes, or came, out of that fountain that people were so gung-ho to have it that they decided to move their whole life there. Obviously. The hopeful continue to live there, though most have given up hope.
These rational, aka hopeless, families have moved away to areas where the hopes are more consistent. Sure they require hard work and consistent living, but at least you know the results will always be one thing, such as a flourishing wheat field. The Fount was not reliable in that regard.
Infrastructure
The Fount was an abundant one and needed a rocky streambed to guide it down to the lake just south of Fonton.
On either side of this stream bed were semi-collapsable merchant booths.
Beyond the booths was the town itself. Mostly homes and gardens with a few grocers, blacksmith and leatherworker dotting the town.
Geography
This part of the foothills is a long dip in the land. It starts at the rocky outcrop and the curious waters inside and ends in the Wither Lake. The Town has grown up and fallen down around these features.
