The First War
In the beginning years, the 1st Century, humans began to interact with their new environment with more than simply creating farms and mines.
They also created war. This specific war began with the problem of humans swallowing the inner-world stars, or Gobbets. Swallow a star and something is bound to happen. These Gobbets of Light gave powers to their consumers. These people were not terribly good at controlling these new powers and caused many a mishap.
The leftover humans, ordinary humans, became upset and jealous. Humans have never been good at accepting the different.
This was the first war in the Aerth.
The Conflict
Prelude
The first Ignis Magna was, well, half fire. You know very well what would happen if Fire were suddenly eating bread pudding with its family at a wooden table, on a wooden chair, in a wooden cabin, in a wooden forest. Needless to say the pudding was never consumed the way all that wood was. And the nearest town. And the ripe fields in between. It was stopped by the river, thankfully, or the next town would have been consumed as well. As it was the people of that trading town saw the Ignis Magna, skin cracking with flame, frantically speeding toward their bridge. It was the nearest piece of wood he could find. Something inside craved it and he'd never before experienced such a complete devouring hunger.
Deployment
The Mayors joined in conferance and decided this Fire Man had to be "taken care of."
A messenger was sent to the nearest large town and a request was made for a deployment of the Guard.
Guard was sent, 100 strong, marching over the harvested fields between precious wooden cabins. All this they had to save.
Battlefield
100 Guards surged toward the flaming new Ignis Magna and his newest experiment. He was truly learning the skills of his new profession fast. The wall of fire, each blade of grass launched a 12ft needle of flame.
The Engagement
This heightened wall of death surged toward the flammable Guard. Every Guard perished that day. The Ignis Magna gloried in his seemingly unlimited power.
Then the Twikk came.
Outcome
All Humans followed by Gobbets were automatically banned to the outlying lands.
Aftermath
The Twikk are assumed to have had a hand in the reformation of the Magna's public reputation. They gave them names at the least. The population learned to be wary of new Magnas but appreciated the help those skills could give when trained.

Conflict Result
The Twikk councelled the fresh Ignis in the use of his powers. Tamed him with logic, the scrolls say. However, most believe the Twikk must have used some other power to tame the Fire Man. It is suspected they had a sort of Gobbet power of their own.
