Angelic Society of the Quill

The Angelic Society of the Quill, or Quill for short, is one of the three main Neph organizations. They are a scholarly organization dedicated to collecting the entirety of knowledge, both moral and magical, and fighting for the almighty truth.
Quill has been especially vital in the upcoming planning for the upcoming Fae war because of the amount of misinformation and disarray the Fae have been spreading around the Mortalworld. Members of Quill see this as a tactic against them personally.

Structure

Quill is traditionally headed by the Angel of Knowledge, who serves as the patron Angel for all Neph members regardless of what house they hail from originally. The organizational structure of Quill is very loose and encompasses many departments, each with their own visions on how best to serve knowledge and truth, from libraries that collect every book that has ever been written, to the scholars who fact-check those books, to the museums that collect and study magical artifacts. There are sectors of Quill, working hand to hand with both Sword and Shield, who have been diligently researching the problem of the Fae trying to pierce the Veil, and others dedicated to recording each Fae/monster attack in both the Afterworld and Mortalworld.
Every city has a Quill museum and university that specializes in that city’s patron Angels’ area of blessing. For instance, the Library of Alexandra, is now located in Castle Hades, city of the Angel of Death, after it was erased from the Mortalworld.
Neph learn and train in schools run by Quill, both the Institutes of the Mortalworld for Shield-based Neph and the Trainers in the Afterworld for the Sword-based Neph. Most Quill-based Neph will start out at either one of these types of learning centers before transferring to a university in one of the major Afterworld cities for their Quill-based training.

Culture

While a traditional emphasis has always been put on collecting moral knowledge, the study of magical knowledge is more important than ever to Quill. So much magical knowledge has been lost in the Mortalworld, and if not for Quill it would be lost in all of the realms. Members of Quill have a particular love for lost knowledge and truths in the Mortalworld that have fallen out of public conscience.   Few members of Quill started their training as Quill-based. It is much more likely they transferred from a Shield or Sword based training station. Teachers there will identify students with a particular passion or talent for knowledge and guide them towards the path of Quill. It is seen as an honor to be selected to serve your Neph house in this capacity.

The truth is an arrow that can pierce any shield.
