Aftermath Party
Crown's hunters battle forces of the occult all night long, often without caring about consequences. Even though, someone has to take care of the aftereffects. Invisible even to the hunters, they trail them without coming close to the danger.
When people that are drawn into the Abyss but are not fit to become hunters, the Crown finds another use for them. They usually incorporate aftermath parties, crews specialise in taking care of the consequences of hunters' battles. They have multiple roles that make them essential to the human side of this silent war.
Body disposal
The corpses of some monsters naturally dissolve in the sunlight, but that is not the case for all of them. It would be strange for the cadaver of a demon to be found in the middle of an avenue at dawn, not to mention the disease it may carry. The same applies to the multiple bodies of hunters felled during the night. Aftermath parties take care of them, offer proper burial to the humans and burn the remains of the beasts.
Site fixing
Property damage is unavoidable when facing otherworldy beings. Road pavement and stone walls are the primary victims of such skirmishes. Luckily, cleaning crews have a near-unlimited quantity of them and their formation makes them efficient at controlling the damage. When the scope of the destruction outscale the abilities of regular crews, they call royal sorcerers for help, as they are able to operate on a far larger scale.
Lie spreading
Sometimes, it is impossible to hide the fact that something huge happened overnight. When that happens, the parties come up with believable lies to tell to the Londoners. I have to say, their imagination seems endless when it comes to finding convincing explanations for unexplainable events.
The duty of aftermath parties is more mentally challenging than one may think, as they are in close relation to death. As they are significantly weaker than fully-fledged hunters, they are much more sensitive to the horrible sights they face each night. Many of them suffer from traumas and crippling depression. The people stay in this job for even less time than hunters due to the pressure and they have a tendency to quit after several years. The treatments for resignation are not as harsh as with their fighter counterparts, as they don't have the mental fortitude to resist memory-wiping potions or spells.
