Crump (Krum-p)

Crump is an oddly paper-like plant that makes its home in the day side of Shilis. Its paper-like substance is due to its location, where it is incredibly hot. This heat dries out the plant, resulting in it being thin, crunchy, and able to be easily crumpled into a ball and thrown across the land.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Crump is very flat, unless it has been crumpled into a ball. It is a plant. It lacks roots, which is rare for a plant, and is spread through the wind and, on occasion, people crumpling it into a ball and throwing it across the landscape.

Genetics and Reproduction

Crump produces agametically.

Growth Rate & Stages

Crump grows relatively quickly.

Ecology and Habitats

Crump grows on the scorching day side of Shilis.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Crump needs to be left alone. Do not crumple up crump into a ball and throw it anywhere. Please.

Biological Cycle

Crump lives for a long period of time. It is unclear exactly how long because after 70 years of examination (of one sample of crump kept in a laboratory), someone crumpled up the crump sample growing in the laboratory into a ball and threw it across the laboratory, so as to relieve some stress.   People are asked to find some paper to crumple up into balls.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Crump has no perception or sensory capabilities as it is a plant.
Conservation Status
The plant is under no protection and no measures are taken for its survival, however people are discouraged from crumpling any crump they find whilst living on the day side into a ball and throwing it across the landscape. This is to prevent people from killing off the plant whilst trying to relieve tension. Instead, people are asked to please find some paper and crumple it into a ball to throw across the landscape.
