Horizon
(a.k.a. "The Trashman")
Formerly a mere space probe, the machine entity known as Horizon has grown into something much more powerful - and more dangerous.
Divine Domains
The analysis and accumulation of knowledge; lost or misplaced things.
Physical Description
Body Features
Horizon is an ancient space probe, approximately 2.7 meters at its widest point. Its surface is covered in tattered gold foil, and its "face" is dominated by a large parabolic dish that has been heavily pitted by thousands of years in the void.
Special abilities
Horizon is extremely powerful, able to apply massive amounts of psychokinetic force both offensively and defensively. It also radiates a bizarre paracausal energy that can be "spun" into constructs almost like a spider's web, seen in the analysis simulacra used to trap organic lifeforms and the luminous tethers that hold the structures of the Shattered Horizon together. Such constructs operate as extensions of Horizon's consciousness, though they do not expand its ability to process information.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Constructed and launched thousands of years ago by an unknown alien culture, Horizon has been deeply altered by its time in interstellar space. It no longer remembers anything about its creators, but in a radical departure from the usual story of an ascended machine, it doesn't care - Horizon is only interested in new things, and its home in the Conflux system is more than capable of providing it with a steady supply.

Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Though it's strayed far from its core directives, the desire to learn new things still drives Horizon - even if it manifests in an extremely harmful way.
Savvies & Ineptitudes
Despite its raw power, Horizon is limited by two factors: it is permanently confined to the Shattered Horizon and cannot physically leave, and it possesses a single point of consciousness through which it processes information. No matter how much it spreads out, it must still observe and catalogue all input manually, leaving it heavily reliant on robots to maintain control of its territory.

Appears to have a longstanding rivalry with Ilos, the Traveler.
