Planar Entity
Servitors, summons, and the occasional cult-related extinction event - folks, if the tome says something about a "world devourer," do not open it!
Planar entities are distinct from paracausal entities due to their disparate elemental affiliations, though individuals are often still capable of physics-defying feats. A planar entity from an ice domain may fall short of a paracausal entity in matters of space and time, but handily outclass them when it comes to dropping surprise glaciers.
Planar entities, as per their name, originate from alternate planes within a star system and can (usually) only cross over when summoned. What exactly constitutes calling on such an entity varies from system to system, as does their temperament when brought into the material plane.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Wildly variant, though usually telling of their elemental attunement.
Ecology and Habitats
Planar entities retain a connection to their home plane, even when summoned, and draw their power from it. If this connection is severed, the entity loses their elemental attunement and will most likely die.
Additional Information
Average Intelligence
Wildly variant; planar entities can be encountered as anything from mindless servitors to highly intelligent advisors and puppetmasters.
Civilization and Culture
Common Myths and Legends
Unsurprisingly, planar entities feature heavily in the mythology of many cultures.
