General Summary
The party continued its search through Nobius' workshop following the attack of the devil-like creatures in the workshop's smithy. After appearing to hit a dead-end at the runic vault, Llywelyn consulted the orb he discovered in Mischief Mountain while Aurora read the journal they had found earlier. From this knowledge:
Armed with this knowledge, the party delved again into the insect hive in the building's courtyard. There, they were attacked by hostile man-sized, beetle-like creatures keeping in the hive's food storage area. Anya unleashed her illusory goat to distract the worker drones while the group battled the remaining beetles.
After, the group fanned out into the egg chambers, where Llywelyn found corpses. One of these corpses had the illusive rune the group was looking for. With rune in hand, the party opened the vault without any issues. They found scrolls, the pair of stones Julissa tasked them to find, and a mysterious box full of mirrors.
Later on, just as the group returned to the light of the forest floor, they were stopped by a host of giant spiders. Anya communicated with the largest one, who indicated a desire for food. Cleverly, Anya unleashed the chaos of the Goat Simulator again, causing the spiders to shoot webs across the majority of the cave. Aurora ignited these webs to break free and the adventurers enjoyed a narrow escape from the now smoky and ablaze cave.
After taking a moment to collect themselves, Anya set out to find food. She found a family of deer who spoke of an entity called The Guardian, who keeps them safe. Seeking more information, Anya sent out a message using her owl. Apparently, they received a message back from this being who said to continue their mission and return immediately afterwards and help 'save this forest'.
That night, Llywelyn saw a large winged beast fly eastward into the Sol Range.
Later that week, the group made their way back into Drakar's Hearth and gave Julissa the stones she sought. Llywelyn traded goods and requisitioned armor repair with Morgana Granitehammer, the town's blacksmith. The rest of the group turned in.
In the night, Llywelyn had a mind expanding experience.
- Aurora learned that opening the vault without the proper rune would activate the metallic guardian that is capable of great destruction. Llywelyn saw this in his vision.
- Llywelyn learned the location of the rune, nearby somewhere in the darkness
- The vault was constructed to house the more experimental and unstable artifacts
