Dire Wolf
"A Wolf....but larger than your average wolf, and larger teeth? Dire wolves don't exist! Never seen one myself." - Inexperience Hunter on the Dire Wolf. The Dire Wolf is a large wolf believed to have originally come from the northern, frozen landmass controlled by the isolationist Giant Folk. Scholars are unsure of how these beasts made their way south of the Ocean of the Frozen Abyss but confirmed their existence, while scarce, throughout the known world. They represent strength and power in equality and acceptance, as well as ferocity in war, due to them adopting other types of wolves into their packs.
"Legend tells of a unique, unnatural beast. A Dire Wolf, but with larger fangs, eyes that glowed as if they were of the Aether and fur of an unnatural coloring. That is where the sigil of the Kingdom of Snagria comes from." - Unknown
