Majjia's Modern History

The annals of Modern Day Majjian history unfold with the dawn of Bellum, a kingdom forged a millennium after the fall of New Camelot. Bellum, known today as the warrior kingdom, saw a gradual ascendancy akin to the history of ancient Rome on Earth. Initially a modest city-state nestled in the heart of the Amity continent, Bellum progressively expanded its dominion, eventually spanning the entire landmass and beyond, including two significant colonies: Amor and Septentrionalis. This era, celebrated as Bellum's inaugural golden age, witnessed unprecedented economic prosperity, cultural flourishing, and artistic renaissance.   Yet, as the adage goes, all good things must come to an end. In the year 1840, after enduring prolonged oppression under Bellum's hegemony, provinces in the western reaches of the kingdom rose in rebellion against their rulers. This internal strife, later known as the War of Saints, culminated in the establishment of the sovereign realm of Archangeli. Soon thereafter, inspired by Archangeli's independence, Amor and Septentrionalis followed suit, asserting their autonomy from Bellum. Over the ensuing two centuries, Bellum, Archangeli, Amor, and Septentrionalis emerged as the foremost powers, shaping the Majjian landscape.   In the year 2080, Crown Prince Loki Silvermoon ascended to the throne of the Kingdom of Bellum, heralding the onset of its second golden age. Throughout his reign, King Loki spearheaded a revolution in energy and technology with the introduction of the beacons—towering structures imbued with magical runes that harnessed power akin to Earth's coal, oil, or nuclear plants. Remarkably, the inaugural beacon was erected in the capital of Archangeli as a gesture of goodwill, a gesture replicated in Amor, Septentrionalis, and even in one of Bellum's prominent colonies, underscoring a spirit of unity across the realm.   In fact, Bellum's beacon didn't reach completion until two years following the demise of King Loki on Hiems 27, 2102, as commanded by the new monarch, Queen Nora Silvermoon, Loki's eldest child. Continuing her father's legacy, Queen Nora earned global acclaim as the benevolent ruler of Bellum. Tragically, her tenure was cut short when, eighteen years into her reign, she inexplicably fell ill and succumbed shortly thereafter. The world grieved her passing for days and weeks, yet none mourned her more deeply than her son Jack and the populace of Bellum.   The loss of his mother deeply unsettled Crown Prince Jack Silvermoon, leading him to abdicate the throne in favor of his uncle, Gabirel Silvermoon—a decision he would regret for the remainder of his days. Upon assuming the throne on Hiems 1, 2119, Gabriel chose to halt the beacon project, with the final installment erected in Umbra, a prominent colony of Bellum, on Tenebris 31, 2118. Regrettably, the beacon planned for Neptunea remained incomplete.   Thus concluded the second golden age of Bellum, plunging its people and those of powerful allied kingdoms like Amor, Archangeli, and Septentrionalis into two decades of oppressive rule under King Gabriel. As discontent simmered and unrest spread globally, the populace eventually rose in rebellion, rallying behind three charismatic leaders: ███████████████ Henry and ███████████████, alongside their close confidante Raven Morte.   Over the ensuing five years, Henry, █████, and Raven, collectively known as the Silver Triumvirate, spearheaded the Light Warriors to triumph. This era-defining conflict, dubbed The Magical Revolution, wrought profound changes upon Majjia. With the capture of King Gabriel aided by his nephew Jack and Jack's children, Angel and Levi, the stage was set for reformation.   A new order dawned upon the realms, as the four kingdoms collectively embraced governance under the Council of Majjia, while retaining autonomy through their own councils. Henry, █████, and Raven, now elevated as the High Royalty of Majjia, assumed leadership over the Council of Majjia, with each kingdom's monarch serving as both head of their respective council and a member of the overarching council.   From the remnants of old colonies emerged new kingdoms, with the majority opting to align with the Council of Majjia. This gave rise to the 13 United Kingdoms of Majjia, heralding a new era of cooperation and unity across the land.   Or at least it was supposed to, unfortunately just two years after the end of the war High Queen Raven Morte was executed by High Queen ███████████████ for treason. During the war Raven has been married to a man named John Flame, an abusive man who sold Light Warrior secrets to the government of Bellum. However Raven had divorced John just a few months into the war and hadn’t spoken to the man in years, a fact corroborated by those closest to her.   ███████ motive for executing Raven stemmed from ██████████████████████████████████████████████, fueled by ███████████████████████████████████████████████ Raven's unjust execution inflicted a profound schism between Sarah and Henry, with ████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████   In response to Raven's wrongful demise, High King Henry initiated the In Corde, a rebel faction aimed at opposing █████, now infamous as Blood Spill, within a year. By 2140, the conflict escalated into full-scale warfare, igniting the Blood Spill Civil War—the first of the United Kingdoms of Majjia. Throughout the strife, countless lives were lost on both sides, culminating in Henry's capture and subsequent execution by the Majjian army merely two years later, effectively quelling the rebellion and ending the war.   After the war High Queen Blood Spill pardoned ██████████████████████████████████ as well as the children of the late Raven Morte. Those who had known ███████████████ would say she did this out of kindness but those who knew Blood Spill knew better. This was a test.   A year after the war High Queen Blood Spill would create the Knights of Blood, colloquially known as The Seven Deadly Warriors to the public. Tasked with enforcing her reign over the nobility, these Knights operated with ruthless efficiency, eliminating any who dared challenge or hint at rebellion against her authority. They spared no measure, eliminating political adversaries and laying waste to entire towns as a grim warning. Such was their brutality that a common saying emerged on Majjia: "You could form the D'Mor river with the blood they've spilled."   Over the ensuing decade, seven individuals served as the Knights of Blood under High Queen Blood Spill's command. Among them ████████████████, Jack, alongside his wife Sally; Lillian, the eldest daughter of Raven; Blair Datian; Saturn Stars; Holiday Deamona; and Blair's younger sister, Aurora Datian.   Tragedy would once again strike when on Aetas 25, 2153 as High Queen Blood Spill issued the decree for the execution of ███████████ and his wife on charges of treason. The town where Jack and Sally resided in was burned to the ground by the Knights of Blood and in their own home, Holiday Deamona mercilessly ended their lives.   Unlike the situation with Raven, this time Blood Spill's suspicions were tragically validated. Jack and Sally had secretly plotted rebellion for years, a scheme that likely would have succeeded had they not been uncovered.   The funeral of Jack and Sally drew crowds numbering in the thousands, rivaling the funeral procession of Queen Nora just 35 years prior. In the aftermath, the Knights of Blood underwent a profound transformation, with all but wto members resigning, The reconstituted lineup now featured Holiday Deamona as its new leader, alongside Athria Nightmare, Lillian Scarlett Flame, Allison Morte, Samantha Morte, Nora Nightmare, and Miracle Comida.   The death of Jack and Sally Nightmare also led to the creation of the rebel group Nightmare, led by Michael Phantasm, and the crime organization Kyūketsu Kōmori, led by former Knight of Blood Blair Datian.   As of the year 2164, this marks the culmination of significant historical events recorded in Majjia. However, the unfolding saga of Majjian history continues, with its people navigating the currents of change, resilience, and the ever-shifting dynamics of power and influence.
