Alleas Skimhorn
Alleas is a half-elf raised in Greencleft in northwestern Auredain (Fief G of Area B) primarily by his human mother. If you get him started on the subject, Alleas will be quite definite that elves and humans should neither marry nor have children, as matches between such mis-matched lives and lifespans are doomed to end in envy, revulsion, frustration, or boredom. The inevitable outcome, he says, is either abandonment or sorrow. Elves generally find humans boring or confusing, while humans find elves either fickle, distracted or obsessed. This opinion does not always sit well with his fellow half-elves.
