Su-Beast

The Su-Beast, also known as an 'ape-bear', is spoken of by those who have ranged into the deep wilderness areas of the Approach and the tales brought back are chilling. They are described as overly large emaciated-looking primates with ribs almost visible through their coarse pelts. Their hands and feet are described as having a distinctive blood red color that almost makes it look like they have just had a fresh kill. It is said that they have long tails which they use to swing from limb to limb or to hang upside down. It is from above, all four clawed limbs striking and seizing their prey, that is often the first sign of them. They are said to be equally fast in trees and on the ground.

Those who have encountered them and survived speak of packs working together to take down larger prey. These same survivors shiver at the memory of the cacophony of calls back and forth between the pack as they chase down prey.
