The Story Thus Far
Contained within please find the scribbled recollections of the roads and travails experienced by the Companions. While I cannot vouch for the legitimacy of many of the circumstances written of in these chapters as I did not accompany them for much of it, I can say that in my time in their company that I found them to be honest, courageous and humble. I should note that I also found them to be horrible cooks, worry-warts and flighty. At least two of those are qualities required of an adventurer in the Approach.

Drawn to the northern border of Auredain for their own reasons, a group of individuals meet to become a whole. Here along the newest bastion in Auredain's retaking of the lands lost over a century ago during the Taking they will search for treasures and progress alike. Their foes are many and the land torn and unfamiliar. It is here, in the Spring of the 117th Year since the Taking, that these brave souls will begin to etch their mark in the annals of the Kingdom and beyond.

As Summer overtakes them, the Companions set their sights on the broken and scarred landscape of the Sallow Hills. A place of ill rumor, dark horrors and barren desolation this cursed region plays host to many of the beastmen and other foul things that surge south and plague the realms of Man. When the Companions stride north to meet this challenge, it is with a false confidence not recognized until they open a door long shut and must flee these accursed hills...
