Valyria was a Heart & Home Power originally. At some point, in the distant past, Vorkys the Rape-King attempted to force himself upon her. To make matters worse, Vorkys is believed to be her sibling .
This crime, though accounts vary on whether he achieved his carnal goal, brought forth a great and furious passion in Valyria. Here she had dedicated eternity to protecting families by strengthening the bonds between spouses, between parents and children and... between brother and sister.
In burst of power, she threw Vorkys off and either seized his blades for herself or brought forth old weapons of her own that had been placed away after the defeat of the Shaitan.
Valyria remains a patron of the hearth and family but she now defends it with a fierceness and passion that crossing her can have dire consequences. Valyria is one of the few members of the Triune with gender restrictions on her direct clergy although pantheonistic clergy of any gender are recognized and gifted by her.

Her relationship with Vorkys is the subject of many stories and parables. Through these stories, it is known that abuse and maltreatment of one's family members may earn a darksoul a personal visit from the sharper end of this Power's sphere of influence.

Other Names
Valyria is believed to be one and the same with Sivra of the Northron Assembly; a pantheon of storm-deities worshipped by the people of the Northern Holds.
