Motivated by Eriam of Curuc, the forces of Auredain as well as a large amount of mercenaries, attacked and seized Dyramar Keep after a three week siege. There was heavy fighting but, in the end, the subhuman raiders residing there were slain or driven off and their leader, Xyx Dreadscowl died in the fighting.
