In the bloody aftermath of the war and the Time of the Hiveminds, one of the big questions of the Reclamation was what to keep, and what to destroy. The very name of their shared tongue, the language that had united them against their oppressors, was not exempt from this discussion. In the end, it was decided the archaic meanings of the word outweighed whatever damage had been done to it, or to themselves, and they reclaimed it for a brighter future: one in which conversation did not end in bloodshed, but was easy, idle, among friends.
