The Arcadian Epic
The year is 2075. Much of the world has been destroyed by the effects of Climate Change, War, Famine, and disease. In America, the republic collapsed to partisan infighting and a lack of care for the real world. The decadence of the late Republic fell as the major population centers declared independence and ushered in a decade of City-States. These city-states, while initially successful, quickly became rank with corruption, starvation, famine, and crime. Riots, fires, outbreaks, and disasters struck each city, ending the little remnants of America in ash. By the end of 2040, the City-states had burned themselves to the ground. The aftermath of this period of tragedy is where our story begins. It has been two decades since the fall of the cities, and a new era has arrived. And we find ourselves in the ruins of New York City, The Drowned City, where the water flooded 50 feet and never subsided. This is the era of the American Ash.
