The Arcanum

What if I told you, everything you knew about the supernatural, was completely correct. Except, there is more of everything. Hybrids? Why not. Magic? Multiple kinds. ignorant humans? Of course.   This means there are scarier creatures than the most horrifying one you could imagine, and there are completely harmless ones. There are wolf and vampire hybrids, and there are just normal wolves. Everything that could exist, does. Just because you don’t see it before you. Or hear the mention of its name. Does not exclude the possibility that it is hiding in the shadows. Hiding from you, ready to do any number of completely horrible, or completely innocent things.   The Arcanum, a society hidden from the "normal" one most of the population knows. A society of transmundane creatures, or "supernaturals" as they typically refer to themselves in the collective. A veil separates them from the mundane world, also protecting the humans, keeping them ignorant of the horrors that happen in the in-between places, old bookshops with hidden doors, speak of villages in the "empty woods", the bars with exclusive menus.   Hidden in plain sight? or maybe The Arcanum doesn't hide at all, maybe that simple piece of magic, the veil that no one remembers being made, the veil that has never been broken. allows both worlds to exist without hiding. Maybe The Arcanum exist as vibrantly and loudly as the Mundane one. and if so... what stories to be told, of magic and drama and adventure.
