Your Options
The options for your character's race cover most of the common races found in the D&D Player's Handbook. These are:
- Dwarf (Any), PHB p. 18
- Elf (Wood Elf), PHB p. 21
- Halfling (Any), PHB p. 26
- Human (Any), PHB p. 29
Please select any of the above for your character before moving on to select your Class.

But, wait! you're saying to yourself.
These are just four races. That's not very many! And you're right! These are the four most common races in the world of Ard Tala, and that means they're the most likely to produce the adventurers who go questing in this world.
However, if you are following the
special character creation process in this player's guide, there is a chance that other, more fantastical options may be open to you.
