A Conflict Between Two Unequal Powers in Your World

Operation Sledgehammer by CTEJedi

A comprehensive and very technical description of a science fiction battle. The splitting up of the battle description into the various sub-engagements made it easier to follow along. The addition of maps is something I absolutely appreciate, and they look fairly good too.

Mediterranean Expansion Campaign by Ondo

Less battle-focused, this article is more about the strategy and politics of a war. It talks about the reasons why the war was begun, and the consequences of the war in a geopolitical sense. It's a good contrast to the two other articles I selected to focus on.

ABC War by Jacob-W

A rare example of modern naval warfare being written. Although fairly light with technical detail, the battle itself is written in an easy-to-understand way. It also touches on the peripheral factors around the battle, including the classic blunders of corruption and poor intelligence.

A Powerful Organisation in Your World

Mediterranean Crown by Ondo

Another article by Ondo, and as good as the last. It very clearly lays out the structure, territory, and constituents of the organisation in a straightforward manner. The page also looks very nice from a visuals standpoint.

Mordena Security Council by Vazdimet

This article clearly lays out the role and structure of its organisation. It also explains less formal aspects, such as the secrecy of its members and its use of a criminal organisation for intelligence purposes. Overall a solid article.

Alliance of Nations by nnie

A very well made article that makes excellent use of CSS. The layout is extremely good, and the section under Alliance Council particularly so. The use of boxes and sub-boxes makes understanding the discrete parts of the organisation exceptionally easy to understand.

An Iconic Building or Landmark Representing a Location

Wicaster Castrum by alwaysroomforpud

This article mainly deals with the history of a tower. I like how it explains the origin of a city's coat of arms, as the tower deteriorated through exposure, turning from gold into white. A good instance of history informing art.

Cage of Luax by TibetTeamSix

A short but sweet article that gets to the point. It provides just enough information to let the reader know what's going on, but also leaves them to wonder what the future of the megastructure could be.

The Ancients by Ondo

Once again Ondo appears on my favourites list, and for good reason. Like the other articles, this one has a good, clean layout, and is easy to read. It provides a number of theories as to the origin of the statues in the article, and allows the reader to draw their own conclusions.

Future Goals

My goals for the next six months are very simple: continue work on my Milky Way world, and get more words than my friends during WorldEmber. I won last year, and I intend on doing so again.
