The Goddess
The Goddess otherwise called The Goddess of Creation was the first and only few deities to descend from Mount Elysium. Upon reaching the ground she felt the weight of the world upon her for the first time. This feeling would forever change her. She could now look at the mortals below and understand the suffering of their lives. In an act of supreme compassion she gifted the mortals below the spark of divinity; a soul. She took the people of the world under her wing and uplifted them: giving them purpose, compassion, and grace. This angered the God King Desolation as he saw mortals as imperfect, insignificant beings who were not worthy of even a spark of divinity. When the God King descended from Mount Elysium the Goddess knew his intentions to snuff out the light she had created. In the ultimate sacrifice the Goddess channeled every ounce of her divine power to destroy the God King, before he could harm her precious children, with a single blast from her legendary blade "The Infinity Edge". Unfortunately, the blast she channeled consumed so much power and was so powerful that she died in the explosion, sacrificing herself so her children may grow old. It is said that in her final moments she cried knowing she could not witness her children grow but found solace in the fact they would not perish before her time. This is the alleged source of the mythical blue crystalline liquid aptly named the Tears of the Goddess which can according to myth revive the dead no matter the condition, change ones self to a more powerful form, and many other theories.
Impact of the Goddess
Watching from Mount Elysium the other gods were moved by the Goddess actions that decided to continue the Goddess's work to guide the mortals below. Obviously the weight Goddess sacrifice was not lost on the mortals with many building monuments and memorials to the fallen god. While there is no organized religion around the Goddess many have taken to worshiping the other Gods instead since they have taken up her cause albeit in their own interpretations or people will simply try to live by her principles: compassion, justice, and forgiveness.
