While not much is publicly known of his personal life, Sable was known from a seemingly young age after his acceptance into the Suchet Institute of Advanced Sciences and Technology. Being such a renowned school across Etrana, his incredible successes were carefully watched by those interested in technological advancements. Sable focused primarily on advancements to space travel, including improvements to general warp technology. He went on to create the Stellari Drive, which functioned with the help of crystals of nearby stars for a smoother, more stable warp, landing him in the eyes of the general media.
Once he graduated from SIAST, Sable hardly took a break for his own life for quite a while. He eventually managed to carefully balance work and personal ideals, with his marriage to a woman named Lorelei even making the news. Together, the two founded AetherDyne Quantum Solutions, where he continued his previous research. He hired very few scientists to join the company; Sable always was picky on who he worked with, but not one to look-down on those he didn't choose.
However, soon after he and Lorelei announced the start of their family, Lorelei was killed in a tragic accident involving a ship with a faulty Stellari Drive. Lost in his guilt and the public outrage, Sable completely buried himself in his research, ignoring the constant pleading of his only remaining worker, Dr. Kaelin Orionis. He ignored Kaelin's insistence that he had found what caused the drive to fail, and that it had been sabotaged by Veridian, a former employee, even when Kaelin attempted to mend his reputation and pull him from his guilt by going to the media to expose Veridian and lead to his arrest. Sable remained blinded by his intense guilt, leading to a mistake of his own.
An investigation by Etranian government officials eventually made the general media aware of a tragic accident in AetherDyne. Some sort of experimental warp drive had gone haywire, leaving a large chunk of the lab in ruin, as well as only leaving traces of both Sable and Kaelin - leading to the conclusion that either they were killed in an explosion incident, or a warp had violently activated. Some speculate that the Etranian government actually know what happened to Professor Sable and Doctor Kaelin , but general consensus is that the two passed in a tragic accident.
