The Lanterns
Summary
Also known as Spirit Weavers by few, Lanterns are thought to be guides for souls those who have passed. The name Lantern/s picked up traction within early recorded history of Freyla, stemming from reports of those near death, or those surviving a near-death experience, that they saw a figure with a gently glowing staff, lantern, or both. Said figures, based on what little accounts there are, seem to not only be one race, but resemble race demographics commonly seen on Freyla.
For the less than a handful of survivors that call these figures Spirit Weavers, they have recorded claims of seeing their life play out in front of their eyes in a Fey-like sparkling mist as the figure seems to observe and almost “mess with” the visions in some fashion.
From any experience, only a select few have ever heard one of these supposed figures speak, though said figures are mainly seen as superstition or myth and remain part of tall tales from generations long gone.
