Session 1

Setting the scene:   The year is 1996 DR, the Astral Plane is blooming and shining brighter than ever as induvial are preparing for the next millennium. The plane is home to many different civilizations, each with their own unique cultures and traditions. with flags, symbols, markers, and even giant ships with the markers of the Federation float through the plane, individuals live on peacefully.   Looking out at the landscape of the Astral Plane, it is incredibly diverse, with vibrant colors and a variety of terrain. The sky is a deep blue with streaks of white clouds, and the stars twinkle brightly in the distance. The ground is made up of a shimmering silver substance that seems to glow from within, and it is dotted with crystalline structures and colorful flora.   In the cities, many of the buildings are made of sleek metal and glass, and the streets are lined with neon lights and holographic displays. The citizens of the plane use advanced technology to communicate, travel, and even modify their own bodies. Despite the technological advancements, magic still plays a significant role in the Astral Plane. The plane is a nexus for magical energy, and many of its inhabitants possess a deep understanding of magic and its workings. Arcane academies and magical research centers can be found throughout the plane, attracting students and scholars from across the multiverse.   Introducing the players-   Geoff:   Gavin:   Emma:   The invitation- the invitation each player is given is a sleek white color with luminescent features and details. when the invitation is opened, it explodes into glittery blue white and silver colors that projects a message in the air where the paper once was. the message reads: Dear ___, You are cordially invited to the Radiance Gala at the house of Aurelius on Lumina this sixthday at eventide. Please join us in celebrating the annual celebration of The Festival of Light where the stars align and the constellations of the astral Plane come to life in a dance of lights and magic. sincerely, Queens Eadric and Lyrisa Aurelias   Lumina- at this time the party is still a bit split but some of them will meet each other on the docks of Lumina when getting off their ships and walking into the city of Lumina. by the time they come to the party itself they will have all come together to hopefully realize that they have all been invited here for a purpose.   They will walk through the town and could meet some of the smaller NPCs such as guides to the castle that can escort the players as well as those in the market and those just in Lumina. the description of Lumina:   Walking through the grand city Lumina, you understand why they are called the people from the light. The city is decorated in beautiful floating lanterns, with most buildings being tall and thin going much higher than in normal places. Each building at different levels has different platforms where you watch luminans float to and from going on about their business. the grounds and paths are covered in bioluminescent flowers, plants, and even small animals that when you brush up against emit small specs of light that float into the air and then disappear.   the people of the town are radiant and kind as you walk on you see individuals in the market with their brightly colored and glowing skin with long hair that almost seems to float with each person their own unique color with beautiful marks and patterns that cover their bodies.   The party- Getting to the castle is easy and there aren't many delays. if the party tries to stop, let them talk for a little but then have the escort push them along so as they're not late to the Gala. The Castle is greatly decorated with people from all over the Plane here with some of them from the astral elves being recognizable, greatly decorated knights from the Vanguard, and even some of the other diplomats from the Federation are here all dressed to great lengths of gowns and fashions.   Players can enjoy the party for a little, talking with different individuals and letting them meeting some of the diplomats from the federation.  NPCS to talk to-  General Signif: he is an older general and a part of the federation. he is retired now but came from the giff confederation.    Zenmorn:    Nerisas:    allow them to dance and even learn more about the history of the festival but once they get bored have Queen Lyrisa introduce herself to the party in the downstairs area will she will ask them to follow her to the upstairs part of the castle for a more private discussion. Upstairs will be Queen Eadric waiting for the party and Lyrisa to guide them into what seems to be a large library, and the doors would be shut behind them.   Lyrisa thanks the party for joining her and explains why they were asked here. She explains that she has been worried for the safety of the Astral Plane and that there may be something coming that could disrupt not just the astral plane, but all of the planes connected amongst it. She introduces the Luminan who has been sitting at the desk who looks up frantically from the books and maps as Cassius. Cassius is an advisor to the court as well as a powerful mage, he has been reading the charts maps, and even explains more about the recent new sightings in Voidspawn which haven't been seen in ages. He explains that he knows where they come from and worries that new sightings mean something terrible.   Eadric speaks up that this isn't the only problem but their daughter has become sick and is showing signs of what is essentially turning into one of those creatures. Their daughter Princess Adalynne is a clairvoyant but she has come down with dangerous illness that has been plaguing her for months now and it's only getting worse. She only mutters and none of what she says really makes any sense because it's not full sentences and it comes out backwards. The one thing that she does say is clear, "The Devourer is near" which Cassius would explain.   Taking on the call to adventure- in return for helping them, the queens gift the part a spelljammer which is a giant ship that can travel through the astral plane to various places, and it will protect them along the way. the party will also be gifted with 200 etherium coins (200 gold) and an Aetheric Beacon to communicate with her if there is any trouble.   Queen Eadric would advice the party to seek out ties with the Federation and to speak with Chancellor Seleneira Silverwing who could help them understand more about the powers of the astral plane and how they might be able to find the Astral key. Eadric would give the party two different pins one to show alliance with Lumina and one to show alliance with the federation which would give them to power to speak with the chancellor.
